Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our team at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience operating computer-controlled laser machines and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate computer-controlled laser machines to cut patterns and/or parts from sheet metal.
- Insert sheet metal onto cutting table of laser machine and activate laser beam.
- Remove cut component from holding fixture and examine components for defects and completeness of cut.
- Complete operator Preventative Maintenance assignments.
- Adjust machine parameters to ensure cut quality meets specifications.
- Perform part inspections in accordance with the Inspection Instructions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
