Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for dental treatments and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Assist dentists and hygienists with various dental procedures, including preparing materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including appointment schedules, treatment plans, and medical histories.
- Perform chairside assistance and placement of sealants and varnish, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Operate radiological equipment to take x-rays and other diagnostic images, following strict safety protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in dental assisting principles and practices. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
Education and CertificationA high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a dental setting. You should be certified in radiological procedures and have a strong understanding of dental terminology and concepts.
