Amentum is in search of a Strategic Operations Intelligence Analyst to deliver program management, operational strategy, research, and analytical support to the U.S. INDO-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate.

The Strategic Operations Intelligence Analyst will assist the J3 directorate by conducting research and analysis of operational strategies, programs, and policies aimed at enhancing Mission Assurance (MA) for USINDOPACOM and its subordinate Component Commands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing methodological processes and analysis with an emphasis on intelligence integration, including operational risk assessments and strategic planning aligned with Theater Campaign Plan objectives for the Indo-Pacific Theater.
  • Conducting research and preparing planning documents, briefing materials, decision papers, and related content on various subjects supporting current, ongoing, or expected military operations.
  • Supporting the development and execution of comprehensive, long-term, fully integrated Department of Defense (DoD) strategies while applying innovative approaches to national security and regional stability.
  • Performing detailed evaluations of the policy and program implications of plans and concepts, identifying vulnerabilities in strategies and operations.
  • Executing structured studies and analyses by comparing national security policies, military strategies, defense transformation guidelines, intelligence assessments, threat forecasts, and vulnerability evaluations.

Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in military operations, either on an operations staff or at the tactical maneuver unit level.
  • At least 3 years of experience in compartmented operations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience integrating intelligence and/or targeting for operational outcomes.
  • At least 3 years of experience on a senior military staff (Service HQ, Major Command, Office of the Secretary of Defense, or the Joint Staff).

Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in organizational knowledge management utilizing technology-based systems, operational assessments, intelligence collaboration, and joint planning and oversight processes.

Applicants must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. This position may necessitate a polygraph examination post-employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • One or more years of experience related to SAP.

The salary range for this position is between $150K and $170K, determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with internal equity and market alignment. This role includes a competitive benefits package.
