We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Toxicology Specialist to join our team at Lighthouse Lab Services. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Testing and Quality Control: Perform routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
- Supervision and Training: Provide day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance and provide training to all testing personnel.
- Analytic Performance: Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
- Corrective Actions: Ensure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications.
- Reporting and Documentation: Ensure that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science.
- Experience: Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
- Skills: Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
