Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer advanced respiratory therapeutic interventions, including heliox, nitric oxide, and chest wall oscillation.
  • Establish and manage basic mechanical ventilation with high proficiency and minimal supervision.
  • Perform weaning mechanics as ordered with high proficiency in >90% of ventilator patients cared for.
  • Review daily the need for continuing ventilator support and develop or refine the ventilator care plan.
  • Formulate a plan-of-care for most patients based on patient diagnostics data, response-to-therapy, and the physiologic profile.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Basic Life Support from AHA upon start.
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
