Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Dunn Loring, Virginia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to administer advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services in a critical care transport setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement ventilator care plans for patients in critical care transport
  • Assess, plan, and implement care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult transport patients
  • Administer basic and advanced respiratory therapeutic interventions, including Heliox, Nitric Oxide, and CNB Chest Wall Oscillation
  • Establish and manage basic and complex forms of mechanical ventilation
  • Utilize standards, guidelines, protocols, and pathways for optimal care delivery
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS) certification within 12 months
  • 3 years of experience in a PICU or other relevant ICU setting
  • Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program
