Position Overview

The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Center for Transforming Lives (CTL) by leveraging volunteer support, fostering partnerships with various organizations, and engaging in community outreach initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes for volunteers and interns, ensuring a seamless integration into the agency.
  • Collaborate with program and department leaders to fulfill volunteer needs, ensuring a rewarding experience for all participants.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to identify volunteer and intern requirements, utilizing strategic planning and evaluation tools.
  • Administer an annual survey to gauge volunteer satisfaction, compiling findings for review by the Chief Development Officer.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer contributions and hours worked.
  • Curate a database of corporations and organizations committed to supporting CTL's mission.
  • Assess needs for in-kind donations, manage solicitation efforts, and coordinate the logistics of delivery and distribution with program staff.
  • Plan and execute community engagement events, overseeing logistics, staffing, and volunteer involvement.
  • Facilitate agency tours and volunteer engagement activities to promote awareness and involvement.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in volunteer management or fundraising. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with certifications such as Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) or equivalent credentials.
