As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for addressing and managing guest repair requests with efficiency and professionalism. Your role will involve communicating effectively with guests to resolve maintenance concerns with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and lubrication.
- Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Manage maintenance inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies.
- Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system prior to undertaking any maintenance tasks.
- Display proficiency in various maintenance categories, including:
1. Air conditioning and refrigeration
2. Electrical systems
3. Plumbing and pneumatic systems
4. Carpentry and finish work
5. Kitchen equipment maintenance
6. General building management
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on a range of equipment, including plumbing and electrical devices.
- Assist with surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding daily activities and issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with vocational or technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification required.
Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights and navigating stairs, ramps, and ladders.
