Position Overview

Summary
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a love for early childhood education? We are seeking a Lead Educator for our preschool-aged children. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a safe and nurturing atmosphere that promotes learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of children's developmental milestones and will create engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with state early learning standards. Design and execute lesson plans that feature interactive activities tailored to the developmental stages of children.
  • Organize both individual and group activities that encourage growth in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical skills.
  • Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
  • Oversee daily classroom operations while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and standards.
  • Supervise teaching assistants and volunteers to ensure compliance with planned activities and safety protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training sessions, workshops, and educational courses.
  • Welcome children and their guardians with warmth and professionalism each day.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting classroom environment by following established routines and procedures.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess at least one year of experience in a childcare setting. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, and pass a criminal background check. CPR and First Aid certification is required. The ability to engage in physical activities with young children and lift up to 35 lbs is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Early Childhood Education, such as a TCC, Diploma, or CDA, as well as a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in early childhood education, is advantageous.
