Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at McHenry Township Fire Protection District. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and fighting fires. You will work closely with our team to ensure the safety of our community and provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
  • Fight fires and perform rescue operations
  • Operate and maintain fire and medical equipment
  • Participate in training and drills to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and procedures
  • Work closely with our team to ensure the safety of our community
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English
  • Pass a background investigation, pre-employment medical exam, and drug test
  • Meet knowledge, health, and physical qualifications established by the District
Preferred Qualifications
  • EMT certification
  • Firefighter certification
  • Experience in emergency medical services or firefighting
