Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at UT Health Science Center. The successful candidate will provide professional nursing service by administering anesthesia to surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthetic agents to patients to desensitize them for medical or surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations to assess physiological and psychological factors influencing anesthetic agent selection and management.
- Monitor patients in the operating room to maintain homeostasis and prevent unnecessary injuries.
- Record anesthetic information on the anesthesia chart for permanent record-keeping and medical-legal purposes.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to nurse anesthesia students, paramedical, and medical students.
- Respond to emergency situations and manage human resources activities for the department.
- Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN.
- American Association of Nurse Anesthetist certification (AANA).
- BLS, ACLS, and/or other specialty certification as required by the department.
- Meet two of the six established requirements, including experience in a major medical center or trauma receiving hospital, skilled in regional anesthesia techniques, or active pursuit of continuing education credits.
The incumbent must exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
