Job Overview

Position Summary:

Are you seeking a dynamic career that offers variety and the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge technology? ColTer Precision is in search of a dedicated CNC Field Service Technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional technical support and service to our esteemed clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct technical service and support to clients.
  • Engage with customers to identify and resolve issues related to CNC Mills and Lathes, including electro-mechanical, electrical/electronic, and overall equipment challenges.
  • Perform troubleshooting, installation, servicing, rebuilding, and maintenance as required.
  • Advise clients on additional services or equipment purchases.
  • Assess, order, and replace parts as needed.
  • Experience with 5 Axis machinery is highly desirable.

Travel Requirements:

  • This role primarily serves local clients, with some overnight travel necessary. Most clients are situated in the surrounding areas.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing CNC machine tools.
  • Familiarity with spindle and ball screw replacements.
  • Hands-on experience with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing and measuring tools.
  • Ability to interpret and follow technical manuals and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster effective relationships with clients.
