Are you passionate about making a positive impact in children's lives? Do you love being in and around water while teaching the essential skill of swimming? If so, we invite you to explore the opportunities at Schafer Sports Center.
As the Aquatic Program Manager, you will oversee the team in fostering an enjoyable and professional atmosphere, ensuring that all participants are advancing in their swimming abilities. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and swim instructors to help cultivate our organization’s culture and core values. Your role will also involve retaining existing students and attracting new families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Aquatic Program.
- Ensure a remarkable experience for all parents and swimmers at Schafer Sports Center.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their children's progress.
- Maintain the safety of the entire aquatic staff, patrons, and swimmers.
Requirements:
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Strong leadership and customer service abilities.
- Availability for flexible evening and weekend shifts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in aquatics.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in computer usage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of experience in customer service or management.
- Experience in swimming instruction or fitness management is advantageous. Specialized Aquatics qualifications are preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.
- Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications are beneficial, though training will be available if needed.
