Position Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee and coordinate the activities of our Maintenance Department. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, as well as maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and upholding safety standards.

Compensation: $90,000-$105,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise maintenance personnel in the repair and upkeep of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist team members in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions.
  • Guide staff in the assembly, disassembly, and installation of industrial machinery.
  • Analyze production schedules to determine labor requirements for maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate company policies to team members and enforce safety regulations.
  • Interpret technical specifications and assign tasks accordingly.
  • Adjust work procedures to align with production timelines.
  • Propose enhancements to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for improved working conditions and equipment utilization.
  • Resolve workplace issues and support staff in problem-solving efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget, focusing on both routine and emergency expenditures.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of new capital projects.
  • Occasionally perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with 2 years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and regulations.
  • Strong writing skills for reports and procedural documentation.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse groups.
  • Mathematical proficiency for analyzing data and solving practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of instructions and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and screenings is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery safely.
  • Comfortable working in environments with dust and metal particles.
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination for equipment operation and inspections.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
  • Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing between 25 to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and reaching.
