Fabrication Welder

The role involves developing the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The individual will prepare, assemble, and repair various oilfield products. Working with minimal oversight, the welder will perform welding tasks within one or more teams. Visual and in-process inspections will be conducted in accordance with API and ISO quality standards. The position requires collaboration with the team to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve welding issues, thereby enhancing throughput. The welder will support team objectives and is required to pass periodic welding assessments and qualifications as per established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble various components into completed skidded packages.
- Select fabrication tools and devise layout, assembly, and welding methods.
- Secure parts in position for welding using bolts, clamps, and tack-welding.
- May assemble components through bolting.
- Repair products by disassembling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, utilizing fabrication equipment as necessary.
- Assemble piping on skidded vessels, both threaded and non-threaded.
- Measure and wrench threaded pipes accurately.
- Set up and operate RT & UT Quality Vessel Weld Processes - 3 (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).
- Set up and operate RT Quality Pipe Weld - All Positions (6G).
- Set up and operate UT Quality Nozzle Welds - All positions (6G).
- Set up and operate Carbon Arc Gouging.
- Capable of executing any UT or RT Weld Repair.
- Clean and stamp all welds appropriately.
- Set up and execute all structural non-code welds.
- Proficient in operating all welding equipment.
- Ability to interpret drawings, WPS's/PQR's.
- Knowledgeable in PT, MT, UT, RT methods.
- Demonstrate sound decision-making skills.
- Exhibit efficiency in task completion.
- Commit to safe working practices.
