Position Overview:
Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Radiology Technologist Level II to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to assist in patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

Key Duties:
Under the supervision of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, the technologist will:

  • Conduct specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
  • Utilize immobilization devices to achieve optimal imaging results as per physician requests.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient specifics and imaging requirements.
  • Position imaging equipment accurately to capture high-quality images.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in various settings as needed.
  • Assist radiologists during fluoroscopic and specialized x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for review by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Process and verify images for quality and identification.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Implement radiation protection measures to safeguard patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of imaging procedures.
  • Provide orientation and training for new staff and students.
  • Fulfill additional related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California).
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California).
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California).
  • Basic Life Support Certification.

Additional Skills:

  • California Mammography Certificate (if applicable).
  • Ability to perform general diagnostic and fluoroscopic duties as required.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information clearly.
  • Willingness to work within a Labor Management Partnership environment.
