Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of APS Investigators who provide essential adult protective services.
  • Guide and mentor staff through direct instruction, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Assign and monitor case loads to ensure timely resolution and compliance with established protocols.
  • Address safety concerns and provide solutions to challenges faced by staff in their casework.
  • Educate team members on the complex regulations and procedures governing adult protective services.
  • Review and analyze reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and implement effective action plans for cases.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Gerontology, Healthcare, Public Administration, or a related field, along with two years of relevant professional experience; or four years of experience in case management and investigation.
  • Experience in supervisory roles, mentoring, or as a Standard Work Champion.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on active listening.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and foster teamwork.
  • Competence in analyzing data and reports for informed decision-making.

Additional Requirements:

  • In-state travel may be necessary, and a valid driver's license is required.
  • Successful completion of background checks and adherence to agency policies.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or on-call as needed.
