About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico. As a CRNA, you will work closely with our medical staff to provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Attend outpatient clinic sessions, evaluating patient complaints, making diagnoses, designing treatment plans, educating patients and families about their condition, and initiating care.
- Perform general anesthesia for elective, urgent, and emergent cases, providing sedation, including minimal, moderate, and deep sedation.
- Provide anesthesia services for all age groups and degrees of disability, including trauma, using neuraxial (epidural and spinal) and extremity blocks.
- Prepare prescriptions accurately, following federal and UP Public Health Service Laws and Policies, ensuring the appropriateness of drug therapy.
- Screen patient health records to avoid inappropriate drug interactions and monitor patients for the appropriateness of therapy.
- Must have twelve months of anesthesia experience, with twelve months in the specialty required.
- Must be Board Certified and possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
- Must maintain certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS during employment.
