We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team in a critical care setting. As a PCA, you will work under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to provide individualized care to patients and support their highest level of wellness.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA/CPTC certification or enrollment in a healthcare career program a plus.
- No prior experience necessary; Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program for new hires.
- BLS certification required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire.
