Job Summary:

LifeMoves is seeking an Affordable Housing Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our transitional and permanent housing units. This role will provide housing-based case management services to individuals participating in our programs, including intakes, assessments, and bi-weekly appointments. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of housing regulations, including Federal Fair Housing and California tenancy laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of transitional and permanent housing units, including property management and case management services.
  • Provide housing-based case management services to individuals participating in our programs, including intakes, assessments, and bi-weekly appointments.
  • Work closely with our financial department to ensure proper applications of security and rental payments for assigned locations and clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files, including documentation required by funders.
  • Provide open communication with tenants, facilitate resolution of tenant problems and complaints, and assist tenants in identifying supportive services.
  • Work closely with our maintenance staff to monitor buildings and grounds for cleanliness and general maintenance.
  • Actively participate in site inspections, monitoring, or other program evaluations and communicate needs to both LifeMove's team and community partners.

Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years prior experience working with individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and may have a history of trauma, including mental health and substance use.
  • Minimum of one year in a property management role, and experience managing tenants with diverse supportive service needs.
  • Working expertise in housing regulations, including Federal Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act, and California tenancy laws.
  • Demonstrated ability working with individuals and families from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Computer literate; internet savvy, experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HMIS systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting in front of groups, and mediating tenant needs.
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • An understanding of ideas and practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to ongoing professional development in this area.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking required.
  • Automobile and valid CA driver's license required.
