About the Role:

LifeMoves is seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our transitional and permanent housing units. As a key member of our Department of Housing, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, providing housing-based case management to tenants, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct tenant orientations and prepare and sign leases
Calculate and collect security deposits and rents
Work closely with LifeMoves' financial department to ensure proper applications of security and rental payments
Conduct timely and accurate re-certifications, both interim and annual
Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files, including documentation required by funders
Facilitate resolution of tenant problems and complaints
Work closely with maintenance staff to monitor buildings and grounds for cleanliness and general maintenance
Visit assigned properties regularly to assess tenant property care
Maintain a working partnership with local community groups, including government and building officials, law enforcement, and fire safety professionals

Case Management:

Provide housing-based case management services to individuals participating in transitional housing programs, including intakes, assessments, and bi-weekly appointments
Offer housing stabilization and tenancy support to all tenants of LifeMove's affordable housing programs
Refer tenants to community resources that assist in maintaining tenancies as needed
Ensure maintenance of a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients and staff

Requirements:

Undergraduate degree preferred
Minimum of two years prior experience working with individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and may have a history of trauma
Minimum of one year in a property management role, and experience managing tenants with diverse supportive service needs
Working expertise in housing regulations, including Federal Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act, and California tenancy laws
Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and HMIS systems
Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills
Bilingual Spanish-speaking required
