**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineering Manager to join our team at Plasma International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the process engineering team to ensure efficient and effective operation of battery cell manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop the Process Engineering Team: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, setting performance goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing ongoing feedback and support.
  • Process Optimization and Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in battery cell coating and mixing to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee process engineering projects from conception to implementation, utilizing data-driven methodologies to identify and resolve process bottlenecks.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance in battery cell coating and assembly processes, including electrode coating, calendaring, drying, and cell assembly.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards, collaborating with the Quality team to develop and implement robust quality control measures and process validation protocols.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action: Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for process-related issues, developing and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on battery cell coating or mixing processes.
  • Cylindrical battery cell manufacturing experience highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing process improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of battery cell coating and/or mixing processes and equipment.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to battery cell manufacturing.
