Position Overview

The Associate Vice President of Enterprise Reporting Operations plays a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of Advocate Health's data and analytics division, which is recognized as the third largest nonprofit health system in the United States. This role is essential in steering the operational analytics steward program, collaborating with various operational teams to enhance data utilization across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the training and communication initiatives related to operational reporting tools, ensuring effective development of data steward teams in partnership with clinical and operational leaders.
  • Facilitate a cross-functional team dedicated to creating training and communication materials that optimize the use of data and analytics, thereby improving clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, monitor data utilization, and support the Epic program for enterprise operational reporting. Establish best practices and standards for operational reporting across various IT tools and processes, working closely with operational reporting leadership.
  • Act as the primary delivery owner for executing Epic program tasks associated with operational reporting, including key initiatives such as Gold Stars, Honor Roll, and system upgrades.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical or healthcare support operations, health data management, information systems, or business intelligence, with at least 5 years in a management capacity.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities, complemented by strong presentation and writing skills.
  • Proven analytical skills to make informed recommendations based on data analysis and user requirements, ensuring optimal productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Capability to translate user needs into system specifications effectively.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships and lead multidisciplinary, high-performance teams, managing resources across multiple projects to achieve objectives.
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented, and innovative approach to project management, with a solid understanding of Quality and Performance Improvement principles.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise and problem-solving skills, with significant knowledge in EMR reporting (preferably Epic) and business intelligence.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations concerning information security and confidentiality.

This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work location.
