Job Summary
A Quantum Science Specialist at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory will design, control, and scale semiconducting qubit systems. You will contribute to research projects and collaborate with a team of quantum scientists.

Responsibilities
- Propose and lead independent research projects on novel semiconducting quantum devices, controls, or characterization techniques.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to identify emerging challenges with quantum solutions.
- Support ongoing programs in quantum information science by making immediate contributions to efforts that implement quantum characterization, control, and error protection strategies in semiconducting spin qubit systems.

Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 1+ years of post-doctoral experimental experience with quantum systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven record of research accomplishments and publications in the field of quantum science.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to sponsor sites, conferences, and workshops.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $330,000 annually.
