">We are seeking an exceptional Physics Researcher to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of our Experimental & Computational Physics Group, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of physics and contribute to solving mission-relevant challenges.
About the Role:
- Possess a PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Have a strong desire to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, applied science environment.
- Be willing to occasionally travel to sponsor sites, conferences, and workshops.
- Meet the requirements for access to classified information, including U.S. citizenship.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Has data analysis, physics simulation, or other coding experience.
- Has experience working in a laboratory setting and performing research involving electronics, lasers, cryogenics, RF devices, quantum information, microelectronics, fiber optics, or materials science.
- Is passionate about advancing the field of physics and contributing to meaningful research.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $220,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development opportunities.
