About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in this exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our Medical Director and Licensed Center Physician(s) to ensure that all donor suitability criteria are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct new donor physicals, return applicant donor physicals, and annual donor physicals
  • Administer and answer donor questions about Plasmapheresis Informed Consent and RSV Plasmapheresis Informed Consent
  • Assess donor understanding of high-risk activities
  • Keep accurate, legible, and complete donor records in accordance with cGMP
  • Review normal donor laboratory work within time requirements and refer abnormal lab work to the Licensed Center Physician(s)
  • Observe and approve staff training in medically related areas
  • Provide immediate care and assessment of all donor reactions
  • Manage medical incidents and record the appropriate DAE in the applicable donor center system

Requirements

  • CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification
  • Current RN, LPN, or Advanced EMT license in the state the Donor Center operates
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Work Environment

This position requires a full-time commitment, working Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. The work environment is a Donor Center, located on site. As an employee of Actalent, you will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
