At Nine Mind Solutions, we are looking for a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to leverage cutting-edge technologies in the design, development, assessment, and integration of computer information systems and networks, ensuring robust system security.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Must be capable of obtaining Client Suitability prior to commencing employment.
- Must have 5+ years of directly relevant experience.
- Collaborate with commercial software vendors to design and assess state-of-the-art secure COTS applications, operating systems, networks, and database technologies.
- Deliver security engineering and integration services to internal stakeholders.
- Engage in a diverse array of issues encompassing secure architectures, secure electronic data transmission, network security, information security, and privacy.
- Develop security systems tailored for both manual and automated environments.
- Ensure the safeguarding of company data against unauthorized access, accidental or intentional loss, or unauthorized alterations.
- Proficient in Red Hat versions 6 or 7 (rhel6/rhel7) with the capability to engineer, install, administer, and maintain.
- Expertise in Linux-related scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.).
- Skilled in configuration management utilizing Ansible or Puppet.
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating the security of both new and existing IT systems and the protocols to safeguard information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
- Understanding of kernel infrastructure within a Linux environment.
- Experience in assessing the design and operational effectiveness of IT and security controls.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networks, and services.
- Experience in evaluating security solutions to ensure compliance with security requirements for processing classified information.
- Manage system changes and assess the security implications of those changes.
- Experience with Apache web server configuration and management.
- Management, deployment, and troubleshooting of Java and Tomcat applications.
- Familiarity with network protection devices: Firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), log analysis, malware analysis, network traffic flow, and packet analysis.
- Familiarity with Apache/TomCat/NGINX Satellite Server, Nagios, Kerberos/LDAP, SSL, IDM/Free, IPA, Sourcefire, Puppet.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field. Two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education.
