Instruction and Faculty Outreach Librarian

We are seeking an experienced Instruction and Faculty Outreach Librarian to join our team at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a vibrant faculty outreach program, delivering user-centered instruction, and collaborating with faculty to integrate information literacy concepts into courses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective faculty outreach strategies to promote library services and resources.
- Design and deliver instruction sessions on information literacy, research skills, and other topics as needed.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy concepts into courses and curricula.
- Provide user-centered reference services, including email, chat, phone, and face-to-face consultations.
- Support students in the embedded information literacy instruction program (eBrarian).
- Identify, evaluate, and select electronic and print resources for the library.
- Stay current on instructional and reference procedures, strategies, and technologies.
- Master of Library Science degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution or equivalent.
- Experience or education demonstrating knowledge of information literacy instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in a collaborative work environment.
- Qualities necessary for positive interaction with students, faculty, and staff.
- Information literacy teaching experience.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Experience assisting users with library databases, reference, and circulation inquiries.
- Experience working in an academic library.
- Experience with web authoring.
- Experience using Alma or other library system; learning management systems (e.g. Canvas); discovery layers, such as Primo or EBSCO Discovery Service; instruction software such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Springshare products such as LibGuides and LibWizard.
