As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of speech, language, and hearing-impaired students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address the unique needs of students with speech, language, and hearing impairments.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies to address areas of need.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, and consult with teachers and other staff members to support students in the classroom.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, and incorporate new knowledge and strategies into your practice.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
  • Enrollment in a Master's degree program at an accredited institution in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, or related field.
  • OR Acceptance into a Master's degree program at an accredited institution in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, or related field, within a year of hire.
  • Valid and current Florida certification in the field, or hold appropriate state license for position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level and clinical fellowship year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply.
  • Mentoring and supervision for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) available.
