We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at Chadwick-BaRoss, Inc. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical systems and components of heavy-duty equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components of heavy-duty equipment
- Repair and service heavy-duty equipment, including assembly and disassembly of complex systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including parts replacement and removal/installation of major components
- Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and possess a basic set of standard and metric mechanics tools
- Accurately complete all required paperwork for tasks performed, and demonstrate basic computer knowledge and typing skills
- Attend and complete factory and regional training schools on specific products as required
- Associate's degree in Diesel/Hydraulics, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in heavy-duty construction or heavy equipment machinery, preferably in a dealership setting
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced shop environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to move heavy-duty equipment and work in a variety of environments
