Van Driver and Youth Care Specialist

**Job Overview:**
The Van Driver and Youth Care Specialist is a critical role in our organization, requiring a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. This position involves transporting children to and from our locations, while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive a YMCA vehicle safely and efficiently
- Supervise children at all times, including during pickup and drop-off
- Maintain order and discipline on the van, pulling over when necessary
- Check children on and off the van, ensuring they wear seatbelts
- Welcome each child to the van and assist with boarding and departing
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the Program Director or Site Coordinator
- Ensure daily vehicle checks, recording mileage, gas, and maintenance problems
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- A current RI Chauffeurs license (or eligibility to obtain)
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification within two months of employment
Salary and Benefits:
This part-time position offers a competitive salary range of $20-$24 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
