Position Overview:
The Testing Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Educational Testing Center. This role includes managing the administration of assessments, ensuring effective utilization of laboratory resources, collaborating with the technology team for maintenance of software and hardware, and providing assistance to students regarding lab-related inquiries. The supervisor will also support the Academic Support Services office and manage special projects as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Exceptional time management skills. Dependable and punctual.
- Proficient in personal computer operations and various software applications, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with general office procedures and practices.
- Experience in providing programmatic or administrative support in educational or professional environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly within a technology-focused testing environment.
- Capability to troubleshoot minor hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, particularly Desire to Learn.
- Experience with assignment tools such as Respondus Suite and SafeAssign.
- Familiarity with platforms like Faronics, Starfish, and video/web conferencing tools such as Zoom and Teams.
