Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Security Specialist to join our team at CAPPS, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in electronic security systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate projects from design to installation, ensuring the overall health of the project.
  • Report on project progress, track spending, and document all relevant data.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and programming of cameras, AI phones, access control equipment, and other security devices.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and administer physical security servers, including video platform applications and security vulnerability patches.
  • Define and manage user roles and access levels for video applications and access control systems.
  • Conduct training for Electronic Security Technicians and end users on access control systems and video management software.
  • Monitor and track physical security servers, access control components, and camera equipment for end-of-life and report to management for replacement or upgrade funding.
  • Coordinate special investigation requests and internal audits for internal divisions and external agencies.
  • May conduct meetings in the absence of the Manager and establish objectives and standards for the team.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree with a major or coursework emphasis in electronics or computer management systems preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience performing technical installation of security access control and video surveillance equipment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain LenelS2 certification and a valid driver's license from the state of residence.
  • Working knowledge of TXDPS, State, and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of management/supervisory methods and principles, performance/productivity standards, and fiscal/budget management.
  • Ability to develop plans, policies, and procedures for efficient workflow and overall effectiveness.
