About the Role

AdeIphi Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Services Provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to inmates and wards within correctional facilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of senior professionals, provide psychological services to mentally ill individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain order and supervise the conduct of individuals committed to the facility, preventing escapes or injuries.
  • Conduct initial mental health evaluations, assessing inmates' current needs and making treatment recommendations.
  • Perform clinically sound suicide risk evaluations, including clinical reviews and proper documentation.
  • Meet with mentally ill individuals for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews.
  • Identify relevant signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders to comprehensively assess, diagnose, and manage presenting symptomatology.
  • Effectively apply psychological assessments in the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of various tests.
  • Write clinical reports regarding diagnoses, prognoses, and developing treatment plans that reflect standard practice.
  • Consult on complex cases with supervisors, treatment team members, and institutional healthcare personnel.
  • Document all care provided to inmates, including face-to-face contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
  • Monitor inmate progress using SOAPE formatted progress notes.
  • Apply community standards of practice for the selection and implementation of psychological treatment modalities while maintaining ethical standards.
