Nurse Advice Line Specialist

Job Summary
Denver Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Advice Line to provide high-quality patient care and support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting patient health data, performing initial assessments, and developing working diagnoses. You will also provide guidance on normal and abnormal symptoms, treatment effectiveness, and when to call back. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring consistency and departmental effectiveness, as well as improving healthcare outcomes for patients and their access to appropriate healthcare.
Essential Functions
- Collect patient health data to identify relevant and unique patient needs, and perform initial assessments for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patients.
- Review medications/drug dosages and allergies with health history, and ensure immunizations are up to date as appropriate.
- Analyze assessment data to determine the most appropriate guideline selection for patient care, and document clear and concise nursing assessments and care advice.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree Required
- 1-3 years of recent nursing experience
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
- RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
