Nurse Practitioner

Award-winning organization seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the advancement of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive health histories and perform physical, psychological, and developmental assessments.
- Manage acute illness, pregnancy, minor trauma, and chronic illness, and conditions, analyzing and interpreting health data.
- Initiate, implement, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans, consulting with physicians as needed.
- Administer medications and injections, perform or request laboratory and screening tests, and conduct preventive screening procedures.
- Accurately record changes in health status and assessment findings, documenting actions in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide patient/family education, develop plans for continued health care management, and promote health maintenance activities.
- Utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records, to document patient information and communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Virginia State Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and DEA license required, or must be eligible to obtain.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification required.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Medicine.
