Part-Time Faculty Positions in Electrical Engineering Technology

Department InformationThe Department of Engineering Technology consists of over 400 students and 10 full-time faculty members in two ABET-accredited undergraduate 4-year degree programs. The faculty are committed to student success and delivering a nationally recognized program. Scholarship in the department spans both industry- and government-funded research projects focused on practical application of engineering principles.
Job SummaryWe are now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Electrical Engineering Technology for the academic year. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include teaching undergraduate Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) courses. The majority of EET courses are project-based, application-focused, providing our students with real-life experiences in the classroom. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required QualificationsA minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology, or a closely related field is required for undergraduate programs. An earned doctorate, or its foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology, or a closely related field is required for teaching at the graduate level.
Preferred QualificationsA PE license, college-level teaching experience, and experience with online teaching platforms are preferred. Prior college-level teaching, related work experience, and online teaching experience are pluses.
