About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wetland Scientist Project Manager to join our team at Montrose. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing environmental compliance projects, including environmental assessments and permitting for county, state, and federally regulated projects.

With a strong science background and a minimum of four years' experience, you will be responsible for managing at the project and task level, the biological resources of large-scale projects. You will also be responsible for technical writing, including proposals, technical reports, and senior-level reviews of peer-prepared reports.

As a Wetland Scientist Project Manager, you will be responsible for costing biological resource projects and tasks for a range of work. You will also be responsible for providing quality, on-time products for clients, both internal and external.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced wetland scientist who is passionate about the environment and committed to delivering value. If you have a strong background in protected wildlife and avian species regulatory process and agency coordination, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage at the project and task level, the biological resources of large-scale projects.
  • Technical writing, including proposals, technical reports, and senior-level reviews of peer-prepared reports.
  • Costing biological resource projects and tasks for a range of work.
  • Provide quality, on-time products for clients, both internal and external.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in natural sciences.
  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) Certification is highly desired.
  • Strong background of coursework and/or experience in a natural science (e.g., botany, soils, wetland science, or ecology) and field data collection.
  • Experience and knowledge with energy regulations.
  • Experience working with Colorado ECMC.
