About the Role

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team at Nemours Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct assessment and clinical interventions to patients and families, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct assessment and clinical interventions to patients and families, aligning with the Association of Child Life Professionals' competencies and the Child Life Certification Commission's standards.
  2. Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient and family.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and equitable care for children and families.
  4. Participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in child life and pediatric care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., child life, psychology, social work).
  • Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
