IT Operations Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead their IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enhance the IT team, overseeing IT assets and managing relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure the seamless operation and security of IT services throughout the company.
  • Implement IT improvements to enhance accuracy and streamline systems across all sites.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing IT team, evaluating current staff roles and skillsets.
  • Review and adjust IT vendor relationships, negotiating contracts.
  • Safeguard the company's IT systems, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Standardize IT practices across all locations, with documented procedures and KPIs to measure effectiveness.
  • Provide IT budgeting insights to support the company's annual budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field required; master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least 15 years of IT experience, with 7+ years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing remote IT teams across multiple locations.
  • Expertise in evaluating, planning, and implementing IT projects with a focus on cost-effectiveness and value.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing new systems and working with both cloud-based and legacy platforms.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, especially in fast-paced environments.
  • Background in cybersecurity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proven experience with agile methodologies and product management.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly explain the business impact of IT initiatives.
  • Ability to travel 20-30%, with higher travel initially to assess practices and meet with team members.
