Accounting Clerk

At CoreCivic, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

• Verify and post financial data, including checks, purchase orders, and accounts payable
• Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare reports as required
• Assist with conducting inventory and preparing reports for commissary and other operational endeavors
• Process transactions for inmate/resident accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, and charges/fees
• Prepare and maintain standard operating records and reports, including those required by management and government regulations

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of experience in Business, Accounting, or a closely related field required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or other spreadsheet or accounting software required
• A valid driver's license required
• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
