Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing general to advanced carpentry duties throughout all hospital facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general to advanced carpentry duties, including but not limited to:
- Insulation
- Drywall work
- Painting and finishing
- Tile work
- Suspended Ceiling Systems
- Trim
- Reading and interpretation of plans
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent plus post high school trades/vocational training and 5 years on the job experience
- Participates in orientation and continuing education in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
- Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service
Working Environment and Hazards:
- Industrial setting
- Exposure Class I - Routine or potential exposure to blood secretions
Physical Demands:
- Heavy work: lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing
