MRI Technologist

Job Summary:

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our MRI and Radiology Team on a per diem/pool basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations on patients using specialized x-ray and computer systems.
• Deliver quality care commensurate with the age of the patient population.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and recognize special needs/concerns of populations served.
• Use MRI scanners appropriately and have a good knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in all scan planes.
• Understand and accurately use PACS and Teleradiology systems.
• Perform venipuncture procedures and monitor sites according to policy.
• Facilitate patient safety and comfort during procedures and explain procedures to patients.
• Review patient identification and history prior to exams and screen patients for metal objects.
• Perform clerical/administrative responsibilities, including reviewing physicians' notes and insurance information.

Requirements:

• High school graduate.
• Successful graduate from an AMA-approved Radiology program.
• Registered by ARRT or acquired within one year.
• MRI certification required within one year of hire into position.
• BLS required.
