Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists and other pharmacy personnel in all aspects of hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists and other pharmacy personnel in the preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Perform related duties to maintain workflow, including charging medications, filling Pyxis Medstations, crediting and redistributing returns, and assisting in the maintenance of inventory levels within the department.
  • Assist pharmacists and other pharmacy personnel in the preparation, dispensing, and delivery of parental solutions for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Maintain the workflow in the IV room, including delivering IVs to nursing units, recycling of IV products, processing IV returns, and batching IVs and syringes as backup stock for new orders.

Requirements:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hospital experience
