Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Sales Account Manager to drive sales in the animal nutrition sector, specifically focusing on the Cattle and Equine species.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with independent dealers to enhance feed sales while assisting customers in maximizing their profitability through tailored feed programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in targeted outreach to cultivate new and existing business opportunities.
- Conduct field visits to analyze sales performance of assigned dealers and cooperatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies.
- Support promotional events, customer meetings, and cattle sales events, ensuring successful execution at the dealer level.
- Collaborate closely with dealers to develop and implement sales growth strategies that leverage Purina feed programs and innovative technologies.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer management, focusing on their needs and the needs of their customers by effectively positioning Purina's offerings.
- Design and deliver training programs tailored to individual and group requirements.
- Work with dealer management to create an annual business growth plan and contribute to strategic planning efforts.

- Maintain accurate records of marketing and service activities within the CRM, ensuring up-to-date client history.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related agricultural field is preferred, though candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in animal science or nutrition, with a proven track record in sales and customer relationship management.

- Strong understanding of cattle and equine management practices and nutritional guidelines.
- Familiarity with retail feed business operations and general business principles.

- Willingness to travel up to 30% overnight.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong organizational and time management abilities.

This role requires a proactive approach to cold calling, a natural aptitude for relationship building, and the ability to lead in a collaborative environment. Compensation includes a competitive base salary complemented by performance-driven incentives.
