Position Summary: The Senior Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of Innovair. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial transactions and vendor interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily invoices through the Concur system, while maintaining and organizing accounts payable shared folders.
  • Ensure that all invoices receive the necessary systematic approvals in strict adherence to company policies.
  • Verify accuracy in account coding transactions, project coding, department allocations, and posting dates.
  • Engage consistently with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries, clarify policies, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Oversee the shared Finance email inbox to manage communications effectively.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including the verification and documentation of vendor changes in compliance with SOX procedures.
  • Support the requisition to payment process, proactively addressing business needs to ensure timely resolution of issues and discrepancies.
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card transactions and assist with the review of expense reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets for account analysis and the generation of journal entries for monthly and annual financial closing.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger to facilitate the completion of financial statements.
  • Conduct bank and account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Review monthly departmental expenses and assist in the allocation of incurred expenses based on data from various cost centers.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Internal Control Documents.
  • Manage customer payment applications.
  • Monitor accounts receivable related to insurance.
