Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer, Network System Architect to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for defining the architecture of network products and systems, leading new technology research, and studying market trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define complex networking platform solutions and lead a multi-disciplined team to bring them to implementation.
  • Manage a small supporting team, drive goals and objectives of that team within a broader collaborative environment between Technology, Development, and Customer teams.
  • Develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers/partners on product roadmaps and technologies.
  • Lead the RFQ technical response, deliverables include System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and technical proposals.
  • Act as a primary technical interface between Celestica and our customers, particularly in technical escalation.
  • Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in the winning of new business.
  • Participate in the selection and hiring of design team resources as required.
  • Identify and Champion process improvement efforts as needed.
  • Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc.
  • Maintain current on industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years' network hardware design experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of network experience at the system level.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering required; MSEE preferred.
  • Successful experience architecting and delivering network products to market.
  • Excellent Customer presentation skills.
  • A broad knowledge of current digital and analogue components.
  • Successful New Product Introduction (NPI) launch.
Work Environment

This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
