Required Experience:

Proficiency in utilizing pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments is essential. Candidates may be tasked with informal, in-process inspections of manufactured or processed items to assist authorized inspection personnel in validating products or to support other related job functions as directed.

Knowledge Required:

Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering schematics, production plans, and other technical documentation is necessary. Extensive knowledge of complex electronic, electromechanical, and optical systems is required.

Job Description:

General Summary:
The role encompasses various duties and related activities as assigned. Candidates must exhibit competencies essential for meeting business objectives and may function as part of a functional or cross-functional team.


Responsibilities include the assembly, disassembly, reassembly, fabrication, screening, repair, adjustment, testing, and verification of intricate electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems, adhering to military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.

Typical systems handled include avionics, missile systems, weapon controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers, and associated equipment.

Electrical responsibilities may involve the removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console assemblies.

Mechanical tasks include the removal, installation, and precise adjustment of mechanical components.

Structural responsibilities may encompass light machining, sheet metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.


EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A High School diploma or GED equivalent is necessary.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical requirements include bending, reaching, and lifting objects in accordance with Vertex EHS guidelines. A strong mechanical aptitude is crucial, with experience in disassembly and mechanical tasks being a high priority. Relevant industry experience in automotive, aerospace, biomedical, or racing sectors is advantageous. Candidates should be prepared to perform tasks such as drilling, bolting, cutting metal, splicing wires, and modifying vehicles.

While an hourly range is provided for this position, the final hourly rate will be determined through a comprehensive salary analysis that considers various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, education, and experience compared to others in similar roles within the organization, as well as market and business considerations.
