Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment by proactively identifying and addressing equipment-related safety issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on various systems, including conveyors and picking carousels, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on essential material handling equipment such as powered conveyors and sorters.
- Collaborate with third-party contractors for specialized repairs, including HVAC and electrical systems.
- Respond to emergencies related to fire suppression systems and mechanical outages, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Work closely with team members to swiftly resolve maintenance and safety concerns.
- Manage inventory levels of consumables to support operational needs.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for electrical and mechanical systems, with a willingness to pursue further training.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in various physical activities for extended periods.
- Previous mechanical experience in a distribution center setting is preferred.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with flexibility for occasional Saturdays.
- Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems is advantageous.
