Service Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Service Refuse Mechanic to join our team at EJ Equipment Corp. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing technical service to refuse vehicles and equipment, performing proper maintenance and repairs, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide technical service to refuse vehicles and equipment, including routine maintenance and repairs.
- Perform proper maintenance and repairs to refuse equipment, adhering to safety requirements and published procedures.
- Knowledge of how refuse equipment operates, including street sweepers, sewer cleaners, and refuse trucks.
- Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the Service Manager, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures, maintaining a safe work environment.
- Participate in, and utilize to the best of one's abilities, technical training as assigned, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Adhere to EJ Equipment's policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation.
- Perform any other duties as outlined by the Service Manager, supporting the team and contributing to the success of the organization.
- At least 2 years of refuse mechanic experience, with a strong understanding of refuse equipment operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a focus on technical skills and problem-solving.
- CDL certification preferred but not required, with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Self-motivated and professional, with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team.
